Deepal S05 previewed at the 2026 Singapore Motor Show

Deepal arrived in Singapore in March 2025 with the launch of the S07, a mid-sized electric SUV. It's aiming to grow its market share by introducing the S05, a new compact-to-mid-sized electric SUV that will compete in the popular Cat A COE market.

The S05 blends urban-focussed design and practical technology, a combination that has earned it an iF Design Award. Its aerodynamic profile is claimed to be specifically engineered for navigating congested urban environments, while providing occupants with a spacious interior that is also suited to road trips.

To deliver this, the S05 has a 2,880mm long wheelbase. It also offers a generous boot capacity of 492 litres (rear seats up) and a relatively large frunk volume of 159 litres.

The S05 has an array of intelligent driver-assist systems, which were recognised as the "Best Human-Centric Intelligent Integration" from the Torino Automotive Design Award 2025.

One of the S05's technological highlights is its Augmented Reality Head-Up Display (AR HUD) that projects critical driving information into the driver's field of vision. This is complemented by a 15.4-inch "Sunflower" infotainment display - named as such for its ability to swivel between facing the front passenger or driver - with voice-activated controls for the vehicle's various functions.

For drivers facing tight parking situations, the S05 also comes with Remote Straight-In and Out (RSIO) functionality, allowing owners to manoeuvre the vehicle into or out of parking spaces using the key fob while standing outside the vehicle.

The Deepal S05 is expected to be available in the first quarter of 2026. Sgcarmart understands that it will likely get a single motor sending 99kW and 320Nm of torque to the rear wheels, and be able to cover over 400km on a full charge.
