DSV Air & Sea Singapore gets its first Volvo electric truck

Volvo Trucks and air and sea freight logistics firm DSV Air & Sea have signed a MoU to accelerate the shift to zero exhaust emission vehicles in Singapore. The logistics firm has purchased one Volvo FL Electric container truck, to be used for package deliveries here in Singapore.

DSV Air & Sea states that its decision to ramp up its transition to zero emission vehicles and to drive the decarbonisation of its transport and logistics services in Singapore has been motivated by the positive experience it has had using the electric Volvo truck to make last mile deliveries in European markets.

It states that the Volvo FL is best equipped to take goods to destination quickly and safely, and to take on the challenges of urban traffic which include heavy traffic and narrow alleyways.
