Earlier end to Circle Line train services in June and July

The LTA has announced that ahead of the opening of the Circle Line (CCL) Stage 6, service adjustments across the entirety of the train line are set to take effect from 15 June to 30 July 2025.
Stage 6 comprises three stations - Keppel, Cantonment and Prince Edward Road - and will effectively close the CCL's loop when open, bridging the current gap between Harbourfront and Marina Bay.
The adjustments will see train services ending earlier - at 11:00pm at all CCL stations from Sundays to Wednesdays, instead of past midnight at certain stations currently
Those who enjoy spending their evenings out after a long work week need not fret though, as train services for Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays will remain unchanged.
The service adjustments come as the LTA and SMRT are set to carry out a system compatibility works on the existing CCL, in order to renew the train line's Integrated Supervisory Control System (ISCS)
Responsible for system management on the CCL (including power supply, communications and station facilities), the current iteration of the ISCS has been in use since the CCL began operations in 2009.
The LTA states that the service adjustments are necessary as they provide longer blocks of engineering hours in order for the testing and commissioning of the new servers and equipment to be carried out "safely and rigorously".
To ensure that the CCL6 stretch is well integrated with the existing CCL, the LTA is also giving advance notice of further service adjustments from September to December 2025. The authority has promised that more details will be provided closer to time to come.
In the meantime, commuters have been advised to plan their journeys in advance.
