eBay will take on the Goodwood hill climb

Hot on the heels of BMW, Aston Martin, and Alpine, is eBay.
The firm (which also is one of the U.K.'s largest online automotive marketplaces) has announced that it will be taking part in the Goodwood Festival of Speed’s hill climb for the first time. And just like the rest of the firm's mentioned, eBay the climb will be accomplished with its own vehicle: A restored 1975 Mk1 Ford Transit with TV Presenter and Architect George Clarke behind the wheel.
Named the 'eBay Lounge', the Transit has been restored with period-correct running gear, brakes and suspension, all sourced from eBay itself, while its interior has been extensively converted to allow the van to operate as a pop-up eBay Store and event support vehicle.
eBay will be present at the festival with the eBay Garage - an interactive stand space that allows visitors to immerse themselves in the world of vehicle parts and accessories. The space will also host a series of talks with content creators and restorers, while a host of experiences will also be offered, allowing visitors to find out what parts will fit on their vehicle.
The firm will also host the eBay 'Assured Fit Challenge', which will see opponents compete against one another to test their ability to fit all of the right parts on a car. Each provides a chance to win exclusive eBay goodies and merchandise, as well as to shop online for parts and accessories.
