ERP rates and VEP operating hours to be reduced for June holidays

Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) rates and Vehicle Entry Permit (VEP) operating hours will be reduced from 30^th to 28^th June in line with the June school holidays, The Straits Times reported.

Drivers can expect a decrease in rates by as much as $1 for selected expressways and roads, such as Lorong 6 Toa Payoh and the Ayer Rajah Expressway (AYE) towards the city. Rates for the other gantries remain unchanged.

Gantry prices will return to the pre-school holiday rates from 29^th June. The next review for ERP rates will be in August.

During this period, VEP operating hours will end earlier at 12:00pm on weekdays, instead of 5:00pm. Drivers of foreign-registered cars and motorcycles are exempted from VEP fees if they enter Singapore after 12:00pm and leave before 2:00am the following day. VEP fees remain unchargeable on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.

Motorists will still allowed a maximum of 10 VEP-free days per calendar year.
