Ferrari receives Best Performance Engine accolade for its V8

For the second year running, Ferrari won the 'Best Performance Engine' award the the Internation Engine of the Year event. The Italian workhorse beat strong competition to win the accolade under the' Above 4-litre' category, including several new competitors featuring forced-indction technologies.Sharing his enthusiasm at the award presentation is Jean Jacques His, head of Ferrari’s powertrain department, who commented “Winning both these important titles again in the face of such strong rivals is naturally a real honour, but most importantly it is testament to the fact that Ferrari’s expertise in engine design is unmatched, not just in terms of technical excellence, but in terms of real-world driving pleasure.”
Other than its powerplant, the Ferrari 458 has already acclaimed no less than 40 international awards under its belt. No surprise if it were to make it to the records, etched into the long illustrious history of the Italian prancing horse.
