FIA president, Max Mosley, said in an interview with UK's The Daily Telegraph, that "Bernie [Ecclestone] told me that he talked to all the teams and everybody was happy. I was led to believe they all agreed. The World Council was under the impression that they had all agreed."
The teams have denied it and reiterated that they had, just a few weeks ago, proposed their own changes to the system.
This means that at least for Formula One's 2009 races, drivers will follow the same points system as last years'.
Meanwhile, Toyota, Williams and the Brawn GP teams have been having serious issues over the legality of their diffusers. The race stewards will likely deal with the problem directly and any appeals will be escalated to the FIA Court of Appeal.
