Flagship R8 plus model gets power and testosterone boost courtesy of ABT

To debut at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show, the ABT Sportsline christened R8 GTR displays the famed German tuners take on the flagship R8 - the R8 V10 plus. The stock car's V10 has a 5.2-litre FSI engine developing 550bhp and 540Nm of torque.
But thanks to the skilled hands of ABT, the power output has been increased to 620bhp and 550Nm of torque good for a 3.2 second century sprint before hitting a top speed of 325km/h. The stock 'plus' model took 3.5 seconds to hit a century and maxed out at 311km/h.
On the cosmetic side of things, the potent R8 GTR features carbon fibre for the making of the side skirts, hood, front and rear apron, rear wing on top of the adjustable front splitter.
The extensive use of carbon fibre trims the weight of the R8 by 110kg to 1.5 tonnes. Other modifications include a stainless steel exhaust system, forged 19-inch alloys, as well as a coilover sports suspension with adjustable dampers.
