Looking for something to do in the upcoming weeks? Why not join in on the hype train for the 2022 Formula One Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix?
Race promoter Singapore GP is calling all here to get 'Back on Track' with the launch of a community campaign with a slew of free activities throughout the heartlands.
First up on the menu is the #SingaporeGP Roving Truck, a rolling display set to make stops at 30 locations all over our sunny island. Launching from 8 July 2022 to 29 September 2022, the truck will air live screenings of Formula One races at Austria, France, Hungary, Belgium, the Netherlands and Italy, all via Singtel TV.
Catch the rolling display and you'll also get to participate in the Simulator Challenge, which will see Singapore’s fastest racers will compete in four grueling rounds between July to September for a chance to win tickets to the Formula One Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix 2022.
And from 15 August 2022, you'll also be able to ballot for a pair of free tickets to the highly anticipated Pit Lane Experience. The experience will see a total of 4,000 lucky fans getting up close to the Formula One team garages and cars, as they walk down the pit lane.
Those in the West can also look forward to the Race On Festival at the West Coast Community Centre, happening on 27 August 2022.
Visitors here will be able to have a go at the simulators on the #SingaporeGP Roving Truck and get an upclose view of a McLaren 720S and the extremely rare McLaren Elva - one of only 149 units worldwide - in an exclusive display by Eurokars Supersports Pte Ltd.
Also featured at this festival will be the first-ever Mighty AllStars phygital collectible showcase in Singapore of all the drivers from the 2022 Formula One season.
Designed and sculpted by YARMS Studio, the Mighty AllStars F1 (2022 Collector's) features 8.0-inch premium vinyl collectibles of all 20 drivers from the 10 teams in the 2022 F1 season, including Max Verstappen, Charles Leclerc, and Lewis Hamilton.
27 August will also see the launch of a unique community art project, which brings together local artists 8EyedSpud and HAFI as well as children from Superhero Me, a non-profit inclusive arts group. Together, the participants will create two special artworks embodying the spirit of Formula One: passion and innovation. The artwork will make its way to One Punggol on 24 September 2002, and will be available for all to view at the Circuit Park over the race weekend.
More information on the various events planned are available via the dedicated Back on Track campaign page here.
