Fourth-gen Nissan Teana unveiled exclusively for China

Nissan has pulled the covers of the handsome fourth-generation Nissan Teana, but don't rejoice too soon if you've loved the nameplate: It's set to be a China-exclusive model. Boo.
Unveiled at the 2025 Guangzhou Motor Show, the latest Teana will be manufactured under Nissan's joint venture with local Chinese titan, Dongfeng Motor, under the Dongfeng Nissan Passenger Vehicle Company.
Described to sport a refined exterior, the latest Teana sports a slim light band and rounded fascia up front that gives it an overall visual similar to the one on the all-electric N7. Nissan is specifically highlighting the power of its twin-projector LED head lights, whose ability to illuminate the road ahead to a length of up 230 metres is apparently class-leading.
Unlike the N7, however, the latest Teana is sticking resolutely to its combustion-powered roots, and draws power from a 2.0-litre VC-Turbo engine. Peak output stands at a fairly generous 240bhp and 371Nm of torque.
The Teana also comes with a premium-skewing interior befitting of a mid-sized sedan, with Nissan claiming that approximately 90% of its cabin surfaces are covered with soft-touch materials. To further set the mood, a 256-colour ambient lighting system is also offered, while double-glazed glass is used on all doors for enhanced cabin insulation.
Given the latest Teana's half-Chinese roots and full-Chinese target audience, it shouldn't be surprising to learn that it comes equipped with a large 15.6-inch touch screen display with a heavy reliance on voice control.
But here's what makes the Teana's infotainment extra special: It runs on Huawei's HarmonySpace5.0, which apparently makes it the first internal combustion engine model in the world to feature the cutting-edge operating system.
Elsewhere, Huawei's hand in the Teana also presents itself with the car's standard 15-speaker HUAWEI SOUND sound system, which is purported to deliver "powerful bass, beautiful mid-range, and clear treble".
