Gojek cuts service fees after Grab announces fare hike

Gojek has announced that is it cutting service fees for all drivers to 10%, down from the former 20% in a bid to raise the earning of its partner drivers. The service fee drop will apply for on all rides from 21 June to at least until the end of 2022.

This announcement comes just after ride-hailing giant Grab recently announced that it will be raising fares for all rides by an additional $1.

Also starting from 21 June for Gojek is a flat payout fee of $3 for pickups that are three kilometres or more, as well as new daily peak-hour targets, which are said to boost earnings for Gojek's driver partners by up to $100 during peak hours.

And starting 1 July 2021, the firm will also implement a minimum earnings safety net for eligible drivers who complete the minimum number of trips.

Gojek said the changes reflect a significant investment in Singapore and are aligned to the company's goal to further strengthen its market share and maximise business potential here.
