Grab has partnered with security products, services and solutions firm Secura Group Limited to offer its driver and deliver partners new opportunities to enter the security sector. The collaboration will see new security officer training courses available under Grab’s GrabAcademy as well as 200 job opportunities in the security sector for Grab's driver and delivery-partners.
Three different training courses are being offered, with skills ranging from the ability to contain incidents to those necessary for performing guard and patrol duties, as well as the ability to identify various threats and take appropriate measures.
All three training courses are supported by SkillsFuture Singapore under the Enhanced Training Support Package for Point-to-Point Drivers, which subsidises course fees for the attendees.
Secura will offer job opportunities for up to 200 Grab driver and delivery-partners who successfully complete the courses and demonstrate an interest in working in the security sector. These partners, it states, will be assigned to provide security guarding services for a variety of properties including commercial premises, to data centres, to embassies, hotels, schools, hospitals, and government buildings.
