The Woodlands Checkpoint experienced heavy holiday traffic yesterday evening as people made their way back to Singapore on the last day of the Hari Raya Puasa long weekend, which coincided with the end of the June school holidays.
Meanwhile, Malaysia's The Sun daily reported that thousands of vehicles were stuck at the Johor end of the Causeway on Sunday because of strict security checks, according to a statement by Johor police.
