Honda has announced that starting from 5 September 2025, it will begin sales of its all-new Prelude in Japan.
Developed with the "Unlimited Glide" concept, the all-new Prelude features a low, sharp front nose and smooth, yet expressive body lines, as well as a low and wide stance. Its headlight design consists of a wing-like multifunction light which features finely moulded stripes that ascend outward, as well as Adaptive Driving Beam and Active Cornering Light.
Moreover, a smooth and clean roofline was achieved with the use of laser brazing technology and the adoption of a glass-printed antenna. Blue accents at the lower centre of the front and rear fascias create an elegant flow. In addition, the exterior styling features meticulous attention to detail, including the flush outer door handles and a black chrome grille louvre.
In the all-new Prelude's interior, its main interior colour option is two-tone Blue and White. In addition, its front seats were designed differently to suit separate needs: The driver's seat is shaped to hold them firmly in place while the passenger seat offers comfort together with just the right amount of feeling of being enveloped. It also features a nine-inch Honda Connect Display with built-in Google functions such as Google Assistant, Google Maps, and Google Play.
Other unique interior design features include a low and horizontally expansive line of sight, a flat-bottom steering wheel, alloy paddle shifters, and full-graphic metres designed exclusively for the all-new Prelude. It also offers standard 60/40 split rear seatbacks that can increase its cargo space, which comes with a host of versatile features such as an underfloor storage compartment, convenient hooks, and a cargo floorboard that can also serve as a cargo space divider.
The all-new Prelude is also the first Honda model equipped with the brand's original e:HEV hybrid system with Honda S+ Shift control technology, as well as the first to feature a new Coasting Control. This allows the vehicle to decelerate as if it were in neutral gear.
The all-new Prelude also comes with three distinctive drive modes: Sport, GT, and Comfort. An Individual mode is also available, allowing the driver to customize the settings in six areas - powertrain, steering, suspension, meter display, engine sound, and adaptive cruise control - and enjoy driving in their personalised driving style.
Honda has also said that a limited number of Prelude models in Moonlit White Pearl and Black (two-toned) will be available exclusively through Honda ON, the brand's online store for new vehicle sales.
