Hyundai and Kia to present future vision at annual event

Hyundai and Kia will be presenting its vision for future transition to a Software-Defined Factory (SDF) at E-FOREST TECH DAY 2024, which runs from 22 October 2024 to 24 October 2024, and will also be co-hosted by both brands.
Six Hyundai Motor Group companies will also be presenting over 200 new manufacturing technologies, hinting at the direction for future developments.
The event will showcase a range of technologies including key ones such as Logistics Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR) Navigation Control Software, Atypical Flexible Parts (HOSE) Automatic Assembly Technology, Infinite Multi-Axis Holding Fixture, SPOT! Industry-Wide Solution, and Urban Air Mobility (UAM) Wing to Body Automated Alignment System.
Among the 200 technologies on display, 28 will be contributed by the group's companies. Additionally, five startups will also host integrated exhibitions.
The purpose of the event is to integrate SDFs and innovative mobility under Hyundai and Kia's E-FOREST smart factory brand, which pursues innovation in manufacturing systems by introducing automaton technologies using AI and human-friendly smart technologies.
Established with the aim to share research and development achievements and expanding technical applications, E-FOREST – which SDF is based on – aims to deliver products faster through data connection and digital transformation.
