Hyundai and Skoda to collaborate on hydrogen ecosystem

A new day sees another big collaboration. After Toyota announced it would work with BMW on hydrogen technology, and the announcement that Hyundai would be working with General Motors, Hyundai Motor Company has now revealed that it will additionally be working with Skoda to establish a hydrogen mobility ecosystem.

Both firms have signed a Memorandum of Understanding that covers the study of the adoption of hydrogen fuel cell systems and technologies and the adoption of energy efficient solutions for mobility projects and products, as well as the exploration of the adoption of a hydrogen ecosystem and value chain opportunities beyond mobility.

Both Hyundai and Skoda state that they view hydrogen as a key pillar for a sustainable society. Hyundai additionally states that it would share its fuel cell system and technology to contribute to the acceleration of eco-friendly mobility across global markets where Skoda operates, including the Czech Republic.
