Hyundai releases 2024 second half key executive appointments

Hyundai has announced its key executive appointments for the year 2024, reflecting its commitment to a performance-based approach that aligns with outstanding achievements.
Jaehoon Chang, previously the CEO of Hyundai Motor, has been promoted to Vice Chair of Hyundai Motor Group - Automotive Division, and will assume this position effective from 1 January 2025. Chang will oversee the entire value chain including product planning, supply chain management manufacturing, and quality assessment, as well as optimising business operations across the automotive business.
Jose Munoz has been appointed President and CEO of Hyundai Motor Company, effective from 1 January 2025. The first non-Korean CEO of Hyundai Motor, he will be tasked to advance global management framework and solidify customer-focused mobility innovation through diverse powertrain offerings.
Sung Kim has been appointed as President of Hyundai Motor Company, effective 1 January 2025. As a foremost expert on East Asian and Korean Peninsula affairs in the U.S.A, Kim will oversee global external affairs, analyse and research domestic and international policy trends, and lead communications and PR initiatives.
Jun Young Choi has been promoted to President of Kia Corporation. Instrumental in securing Kia's highest-ever performance as Head of Domestic Production, he has strengthened productivity and quality competitiveness, as well as led the transition of AutoLand Gwangmyeong towards a future-focused EV production facility.
Other notable appointments include Kyoo Bok Lee, CEO of Hyundai Glovis, who has been promoted to President. Cheol Seung Baek and Joon Dong Oh have also been appointed as CEO of Hyundai Transys and CEO of Hyundai KEFICO respectively. Hanwoo Lee and Woo Jeong Joo has also been appointed as CEO of Hyundai Engineering & Construction and CEO of Hyundai Engineering respectively.
