Hyundai Sonata gets facelift in Korea

The facelifted Sonata features a mildly modified front grille with a slight reduction in chrome, as well as new LED taillights, reshaped mirror casings and a choice of new alloy wheel designs including a set of 18-inch multi-spoke rims.In Korea, the Sonata is available with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine with 165bhp and is mated to either a manual or automatic gearbox. However, Hyundai has also replaced the existing 2.4-litre engine in the facelifted Sonata with a new 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder that produces 271bhp.
The interior also gets some minor upgrades, such as new trim options, higher quality materials, the addition of LED spot lights and improved standard equipment throughout the range. Hyundai has not mentioned when the facelifted Sonata will be available for export markets, but it is expected to be introduced overseas within the next 12 months.
