Having officially launched in the U.S.A, KAMManufaktur has delivered its first Stateside commission - the 912c - to a customer in Miami.
Based on the classic Porsche 912 of the 1960s, the ultra-lightweight 912c has a class leading weight of 750kg - in part thanks to its extensive use of carbon fibre. It is fitted with a re-engineered 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine based on the 616 powerplant, which offers 188bhp and 205Nm of torque.
Crafted in Budapest, Hungary, each bespoke 912c is based upon a classic 912 donor car updated with lightweight carbon fibre panels while retaining its original chassis. It also comes with custom wheels with a carbon hybrid option.
Every component of the car has been redesigned to save weight, with scratch-proof Lexan polycarbonate windows and 40mm Cro-Moly tubing reinforcing the body.
In its interior, Electronic Smiths instruments are complemented by an authentic Fusina steering wheel, with a brand-new signature seat also designed by the latter. Modern features like air conditioning and heated seats are also included.
Two 912c models are available: the Semi-Carbon which retains some original steel bodywork, and the Full-Carbon with a full carbon fibre bodywork. Both will be joined by the open-top 912c Targa in 2025.
