Inspired by the heroic qualities of the iconic Justice League super heroes, Kia together with DC entertainment and master artist Jim Lee, has brought five comic book superheroes to life through its cars at SEMA.
Renowned comic book artist Jim Lee collaborated with well-known tuners like West Coast Customs (of Pimp My Ride fame), Rides magazine and Super Street magazine to create the five unique vehicles. They cover comic fan favourites like Batman, The Flash, Green Lantern, Aquaman and probably a lesser known superhero named Cyberborg. Each vehicle is easily recognizable and is finished and adorned with visual cues that do not stray far from their respective heroes.
Kia and West Coast Customs collaborated for The Flash and Aquaman inspired cars while Rides magazine took charge of the Batman and Cyborg inspired cars. Super Street magazine was responsible for the Green Lantern inspired car.
"DC Entertainment is pleased to join forces with Kia to bring the Justice League to life in an entirely new way at SEMA, while also raising awareness and funds for the 'We Can Be Heroes' giving campaign," cites Amit Desai, SVP of franchise management, DC Entertainment.
More than a showcase effort, the vehicles will be auctioned away with the proceeds donated to the 'We Can Be Heroes' charity campaign. The campaign, encourages the commoner to join the fight against the ongoing hunger crisis in the Horn of Africa, comprising of seven states like Sudan, Kenya and Ethiopia among others.
