Kia presented its new concept car at 2026 Milan Design Week

Kia has hosted the global debut of its Vision Meta Turismo concept car at the 2026 Milan Design Week.

The concept already saw its initial reveal in December 2025, where it was unveiled in South Korea to celebrate Kia's 80^th anniversary. And now, the brand has released further details concerning the concept.

Kia's design philosophy, "Opposites United", is evident in the design of Vision Meta Turismo, where the concept's low nose emphasises its cab-forward architecture with a cut back lower section featuring a black technical insert, housing the car's futuristic functional elements.

The rear of the concept sees flowing curves that lead to a sharp, truncated tail with a sharp trailing edge, which was designed to enhance aerodynamic efficiency and high-speed stability. The focal point is the ultra-slim LED lighting signature, with the horizontal blade of light wrapping around the rear corners.

Kia's designers have also taken inspiration from jet aircraft when designing the Vision Meta Turismo concept, with the canard - a small wing-like projection - inspiring the form of the structure that houses technical elements such as the upper front lamp and rear-view camera, while the lower blacked-out area at the front houses technical features, including lights and cameras.

The Vision Meta Turismo concept offers two distinct seat and space layouts for both the driver and passenger

Inside, the driver's seat and space are designed for focussed functional immersion, while the passenger seat - although using the same form language and mesh material - is structurally distinct to provide a more relaxed, emotive experience.

As optional features, selected controllers can be seamlessly integrated into a minimalist central structure within the cockpit and, when activated, enable immediate access to their functions.

For the steering wheel, it serves as the central interface through which users engage with three distinct digital experience modes: Speedster, Dreamer, and Gamer - individual modes that enhance the user experience according to the driving environment and scenario.

The Vision Meta Turismo concept can be viewed at the event, which runs from 20 to 26 April 2026, alongside a lineup of Kia EV concept models.
