Koenigsegg CCXR Special Edition with 1018HP
28 Nov 2007|2,429 views
There's a new challenger packing the potential to topple Buggati's Veyron as the world's fastest car in the form of Koenigsegg's new CCXR supercar. Details were first released about it back in March and now we have official renderings of the final production version.

As previously reported, the CCXR will be sporting a cast-aluminum V8 engine capable of running on biofuel. The burning of ethanol in biofuel has the positive side effect of cooling the combustion chambers. This combined with a higher octane rating provides the enviro-friendly supercar with 1,018hp at 7,200rpm and peak torque of 1,060Nm at 6,100rpm.

Accelerating from 0-100km/h takes approximately 2.9 seconds and the top speed is claimed to be above 400km/h. We can't wait to see some official times, and, if you must know, the price tag is around the €1.5 million mark.
