Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 Yenicari Edition breaks records with its wheels

The standard Murcielago has 8.5x20 front rims with a 2-inch outer lip and wrapped in 235 tyres, and 13x20 rear wheels with a 6-inch outer lip and with 335 tyres. The Yenicari Edition however ups that to 10.5x20 front rims with a 4-inch lip and 285/25 ZR 20 tyres in front and 13.5x21 rear rims with a 6-inch outer lip and 375/25 ZR 21 tyres, which Unicate claims is a world record.

"We wanted to take the wheels to the extremes and wanted to give it a wider wheel on the rear but there aren't any tires wide enough. It's great! It drives much better now than when it had the smaller original wheels on, it's much more sportier now and you have the real feeling of driving a safer sports cars." CEO and founder of Unicate and the MEC Design Group, Cem Altun, said.

Unicate has also worked on the rest of the car, giving it a custom-made exhaust system that provides an extra 20bhp, a suspension that has been lowered by 20mm, LED daytime running lights incorporated into the front grill and side skirts, unique matte black paint, and one-off ConcavTen rims.

Inside, the Murcielago LP640 Yenicari Edition boasts of a new sports steering wheel, liberal use of carbon fibre trim, and a premium audio system. The company also explains the name, which was derived from an elite fighting squad from the Turkish Ottoman Empire.
