Lamborghini Urus takes the backseat

Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann has revealed that the company is in no hurry to build a production version of the Urus concept.
Speaking with Auto Express, Winkelmann said, "The Urus isn't an immediate priority and won't happen until 2017 at the earliest. To be honest, we don't need it right now, as we have plenty of new cars available that are selling well and will continue to sell well." He added that the model's production has not been green-lighted by their Board of Directors either. Perhaps, the automaker needs more time to ensure there is adequate demand in the market in order to justify production.
To brush off the possible dismay, Winkelmann presented with a piece of good news, hinting that an Aventador Superleggera is in the works. When asked about the model, Winkelmann said, "The Aventador is a powerful car, but there is always more. We have a few ideas for this car…"
So in short, 'Hooray Aventador Superleggera, Boo Urus' - a strong message sent out by the Chief Executive. Hopefully, this will not upset fans of the crossover.
