The LFA Nurburgring Edition will comprise of 50 out of the LFA’s 500 unit production run, and will feature new aerodynamic components, such as a larger front spoiler, fin-type side spoilers, side canard air foils and a new fixed rear wing. Body colour options are restricted to matte black, black, white or orange, with interiors finished in black and red, black and purple and all-black. Lexus says that European-bound cars will also feature a carbon fibre centre console and door trims, with carbon fibre sports seats finished in Alcantara.
The biggest change to the LFA Nurburgring Edition however, is under the bonnet. The 4.8-litre V10 engine has been tuned to produce 562bhp, up from 553bhp on the standard car. Along with an improved six-speed sequential gearbox that provides faster shifts, this means that the LFA Nurburgring Edition is able to rocket from 0-100km/h in 3.7 seconds, while top speed remains at 325km/h.
Other modifications include a hardened suspension that has been reduced by 10mm, as well as exclusive mesh-type wheels and dedicated high-grip tires. Lexus will also offer customers of the LFA Nurburgring Edition an advanced driving course at the Nürburgring, plus a free year-long pass to the track.
