Lexus has proudly reaffirmed its long-standing commitment to elevating the sport of golf with its return as the official automotive partner of the HSBC Women's World Championship (HWWC) 2026 for the sixth consecutive year. The 72-hole stroke play tournament, widely known as "Asia's Major", will be held from 26 February to 1 March 2026.
Reigning champion and three-time major winner Lydia Ko will return to defend her title, alongside a field of the world’s top female golfers on one of Asia's best golf courses as they compete for the championship title. Ko clinched the 2025 crown with a commanding four shot victory over Japan's Ayaka Furue and Thailand's Jeeno Thitikul.
The 2026 championship will once again take place at the Tanjong Course at Sentosa Golf Club, a venue globally recognised for its leadership in sustainable golf. Crowned "Asia's Best Eco-friendly Golf Facility" at the 2024 World Golf Awards, Sentosa Golf Club remains committed to achieving net-zero emissions by 2040 and halving its emissions by 2030. These efforts closely mirror Lexus' efforts to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 for a cleaner future.
Players will also stand a chance to win the new all-electric RZ Luxury SUV, which introduces a fully redesigned BEV system and a new eAxle. Visitors can also look forward to a refreshed and interactive Lexus experience over at the tournament fan village. The Lexus booth will feature engaging activities, interactive experiences, and opportunities to win exclusive prizes.
With a commitment to nurturing the next generation of golfers, Lexus also hopes to inspire younger audiences to discover and engage with the sport. Lexus will continue to build on the legacy of HWWC by expanding access to premium golf experiences across Asia through Lexus Cup regional competition and other golf-related initiatives.
