Honda and battery manufacturing firm LG Energy Solution have broken ground on a new joint venture EV battery plant in Ohio, U.S.A.
The two firms have committed to invest $4.7 million in the new joint venture facility with overall investment projected to reach a total of $5.9billion. The facility is expected to be completed by the end of 2024, and will create 2,200 jobs and reach an annual production capacity of 40GWh.
