Look ma, no hands: Here's a cool demonstration of Volvo's first autonomous truck

The Volvo Group continues to push the envelope when it comes to new and advanced engineering techniques for the future by exploring new technologies that could lead to increased or new business opportunities for its customers.

Within the framework of automation, the Volvo Group researches and develops a wide range of autonomous features ranging from low levels of automation such as driver support systems to high levels of automation where the driver can at times hand over the driving to the vehicle.

Check out the video above to see the fruits of one of Volvo Group's latest research projects - Volvo's first autonomous truck. This autumn, the completely autonomous FMX will go into trial operation in a mine in the north of Sweden.
