LTA: Singapore will match Malaysia's new toll charges in few weeks' time
02 Aug 2014|2,308 views
The Land Transport Authority (LTA) said that Singapore will match Malaysia's new toll rates at the Causeway in the following weeks.
The authority explained that it needs more time to operationalise the changes, as details of Malaysia's toll changes were not made known to them earlier.
Currently, LTA imposes a toll of $1.20 for cars entering Johor, and none when they head back to Singapore. However, motorists are expected to pay a total of about $12.90 in tolls, more than five times the $2.30 before 1st August, when Singapore matches Malaysia's rates.
