Singapore and Malaysia have conducted a trial run to prepare for the opening of the Land Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) at the Causeway between Singapore and Johor.
Singapore's Ministry of Trade and Finance stated in a Facebook post that the trial was done to test the new protocols as well as the entire end-to-end user journey so as to refine the processes at the border crossing.

According to The Straits Times, about 1,440 people are expected to be able to travel between Johor and Singapore in the first week of the implementation of the land VTL.
The total daily quota of arrivals into Singapore from all eligible countries via the Vaccinated Travel Lane scheme is currently 10,000.
Under Singapore's VTL scheme, people who are fully vaccinated are able to travel into Singapore on designated flights, and take COVID-19 tests in lieu of serving quarantine or stay-home notice.
