Manufacturer of Subaru opens representative office in Singapore

The manufacturer of Subaru automobiles, Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd. (FHI), has announced the launch of its representative office for the Japanese automaker in Singapore. Located at Raffles Place and staffed by three employees, the office will serve as a hub for activities focused on market research and feasibility studies in the region, as FHI considers further expansion of its Subaru business.
In addition to Singapore, the sales of Subaru cars have been dramatically increasing in other ASEAN markets such as Indonesia, Thailand and Malaysia over the past couple of years. In addition, the Subaru brand has attained success in Japan, and International markets such as the U.S.A, Australia and China, and FHI hopes to tap into this momentum by establishing an office here in Singapore.
FHI has identified ASEAN as an important strategic market, and believes Singapore would serve as a good base to learn more about the opportunities available here and in the wider region.
The opening of the representative office in Singapore marks another milestone for Subaru, helping to strengthen its presence in the region and raise the bar of excellence through a better understanding of the customers' needs.
