Maserati has revealed two new special edition models, the MC20 Icona and MC20 Leggenda, both built to mark the 20th anniversary of the MC12.
Only 20 examples of each of the limited edition cars will be built, and both come with a livery and exclusive content inspired by the MC12 Stradale and MC12 GT1 Vitaphone respectively.
The Maserati MC20 Icona takes after the colours of the MC12 Stradale, while the MC20 Leggenda takes after the colours of the MC12 GT1 of the Vitaphone Racing team
The Maserati MC20 Icona's livery borrows from the colours of the MC12 Stradale, which were in turn a tribute to the style of the Maserati Trofeo Light when it ran in the 24 Hours of Daytona, which was the first car to be inspired by the Maserati Birdcage Type 61.
The car also sports the Maserati Fuoriserie logo in Bianco Audace on its sides and gets an Italian flag logo on its doors. These feature alongside silver hubcaps complete with the Trident logo in contrasting blue and blue brake callipers.
The MC20 Leggenda, meanwhile, gets a livery of Nero Essenza and Digital Mint Matte, following from the colours of the award-winning MC12 GT1 which secured three victories and two placings as runner-up in the 24 Hours of Spa with the Vitaphone Racing team.
This car gets wheels in Nero Lucido with Nero Opaco and Trident Digital Mint hubcaps, alongside a yellow Trident logo on its grille, doors, and C-pillar. These touches accompany black brake callipers.
Both cars also feature lightweight four-way monocoque racing seats in their cabins alongside a Sonus faber sound system.
