The limited edition GranTurismo will also be ultra exclusive, with just 12 units to be produced, all of which will be sold to customers in the Middle East. Maserati says that the number 12 signifies the number of world titles its MC12 supercar has won in the FIA GT International Championships since 2005.
Each GranTurismo S MC Sport Line Limited Edition will be allocated to a different city in the Middle East, and will feature a plaque with the name of the city it is sold in. Maserati has also announced that it will build an additional 11 GranTurismo S MC Sport Lines with a Matt Bianco Fuji paint scheme for Italy.
The new Sport Line editions features an optional aerodynamic package which includes double front winglets, a rear lip spoiler, door sill inserts, black window surrounds, black exhaust pipes and body-coloured door handles. Other options include carbon fibre door mirrors, 'carbon finish' door handles, black alloy wheels, carbon fibre interior trim, and aluminium racing pedals.
Additionally, the limited edition GranTurismo features an MC Sport Line suspension with drilled and slotted disc brakes, stiffer dampers, larger anti-roll bars, and a revised stability control system. The Sport Line is likely to be powered by Maserati’s 4.7-litre V8 engine that produces 440bhp.
