Inside, the MX-5 Sport Black features a black leather interior with contrasting “sand” colour stitching, Piano Black steering wheel and deco panel, a uniquely numbered interior plaque and Limited Edition floor mats. The car itself is based on the MX-5 Sport Tech trim, and is powered by a 2.0-litre engine with 160bhp, mated to a six-speed manual transmission.
The Mazda2 Black Edition meanwhile, features the same colour scheme as the MX-5 Sport Black, with a black vinyl roof and the choice of Spirited Green metallic, Crystal White Pearlescent or True Red for the body. The five-door hatchback also comes with matt black 16-inch alloy wheels.
Other unique features include the standard front fog lights, privacy glass and a rear bumper in sports trim, plus unique ‘Black Edition’ exterior badging, uniquely numbered interior plaque and Limited Edition floor mats. Only 618 units of the Mazda2 Black Edition will be made, and they will be powered by a 1.3-litre engine producing 84bhp.
Mazda will only produce 500 units of the MX-5 Sport Black model, and the car comes with a Brilliant Black coloured retractable hard top, as well as dark “gun metal” 17-inch alloy wheels, while there are also a choice of three body colours, Spirited Green metallic, Crystal White Pearlescent and Velocity Red mica.
