Mazda reveals its all new CX-50

Mazda North American Operations has hosted the virtual world premiere of the first-ever Mazda CX-50.

The new car sports the brand's striking Kodo design. A sleek, long silhouette and wide stance give the vehicle dynamic proportions, while numerous design elements hint at its outdoor ruggedness.

Equipped as standard in the U.S.A with Mazda's latest i-Activ All-Wheel Drive technology, Mazda states the new CX-50 will maintain all the superior driving dynamics expected of any Mazda vehicle.

Also standard for the Mazda CX-50 is the firm's Intelligent Drive Select drive mode selector, which will allow drivers to take the CX-50 further outdoors with the utmost confidence.

A driver-centric layout has been utilised for the interior of the CX-50, which is said to have been inspired by modern outdoor gear, creating a welcoming atmosphere fitting for both adventurists and those just starting their journey into an active lifestyle.

The Mazda CX-50 will also debut new colour options, such as Zircon Sand exterior paint and an available terracotta interior colour.

High strength roof rails and reinforced b-pillars and door jambs give customers additional options for securing equipment on the roof of the Mazda CX-50.

The Mazda CX-50 is being launched in the U.S.A with either the Skyactiv-G 2.5-litre naturally aspirated engine or the Skyactiv-G 2.5-litre turbocharged engine,both paired with a responsive six-speed automatic gearbox.

The Mazda CX-50 is the first Mazda vehicle to be built at the new Mazda Toyota Manufacturing plant in Huntsville, Alabama, U.S.A, with production beginning in January 2022.
