McLaren is honouring its Formula One team's winning of the 2024 Formula 1 World Constructors' Championship by producing a special, limited-edition run of Artura and 750S models.
These 18 units - nine of each model - will carry the designation 'MCL38 Celebration Edition'. 'MCL38' is the model name of McLaren's 2024 Formula One racecar. The fact that only nine of each model will be manufactured is also significant, for the 2024 win was McLaren's ninth.
McLaren clinched the World Constructors' Championship following the season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. The team had led the Constructors' standings since the Azerbaijan Grand Prix last September.
The MCL38 Celebration Edition Artura and 750S are finished in livery similar to the one on the MCL38 Formula One racecars
Prior to 2024, McLaren last hoisted the World Constructors' Championship in 1998, the season in which their driver, Mika Hakkinen, also won the first of his two driver's titles.
Both the special edition Artura and 750S models are finished in a bespoke livery from McLaren Special Operations (MSO) that reflect the Papaya Orange and Anthracite colourways that distinguish the team in the motorsport world. The finish also features the chevron colour transition that's unique to the brand.
Each car will also receive a 'Nine-Star' logo, plus additional orange accents that include a bonnet stripe with a Champions' Laurel. The brake callipers are also finished in orange.
Inside, each of the cars will feature Visual Carbon Fibre Extended Sill covers on the driver's side that are signed by McLaren F1 drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri. The seat headrest also comes with a Champion's Laurel.
In addition, each Celebration Edition car comes with an MCL38 dedication plaque that has a genuine section of carbon fibre bodywork from the MCL38 racecar.
A bespoke track record plaque, listing the pole positions, race wins and fastest laps recorded by the MCL38 racecar during the 2024 season, can also be found in the bonnet storage area.
An additional bespoke track record plaque, located in the bonnet storage area, lists the pole positions, race wins and fastest laps recorded by the MCL38 Formula One car during the victorious 2024 season.
Michael Leiters, CEO of McLaren Automotive, said, "The achievements of Zak Brown, Andrea Stella, Lando Norris, Oscar Piastri and the entire McLaren Racing team in winning the Formula One Constructors' Championship are beyond inspirational - and what better way to mark this than with an ultra-exclusive Celebration Edition of our award-winning Artura and 750S."
"Just nine examples of the Artura and nine of the 750S MCL38 Celebration Edition cars will be produced, each proudly commemorating McLaren's most recent championship victory as well as delivering the exhilarating and unbeatable driving experience inherent in our world-class supercars."
