27 Feb 2015|1,676 views
Looking stunning in its race guise, the P1 GTR is heading to the Geneva Motor Show next week for its global debut. But before that, McLaren has put its latest track weapon head on with one of its most iconic racers - the F1 GTR.
Powering the new P1 GTR is a tweaked version of the 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine found in the P1 road car, coupled with an enhanced lightweight electric motor. Combined, these powerplants generate 986bhp - 789bhp from the petrol engine and an instant 197bhp from the electric motor.
