Meet the Porsche 911 Dakar at Guoco Midtown

Heading towards Bugis in the coming weeks? You'll want to stop by Guoco Midtown, located at 130 Beach Road, Singapore 189774, to visit Porsche Singapore's latest display right in front of the Porsche Studio.

From 14 May to 12 June 2024, visitors to the location will be able to catch a special Roughroads showcase, which features the 911 Dakar equipped with the Rally Design Package inspired by Porsche's very own 1984 Dakar-winning 911 champion. Also featured is a Porsche Cayenne (read our review of the Porsche Cayenne Coupe here) that comes complete with a Porsche Tequipment Roof Tent, transforming the SUV into a cozy outdoor camping retreat.

Visitors will be able to catch the Porsche 911 Dakar alongside the facelifted Cayenne complete with the Porsche Tequipment Roof Tent at the new exhibition

Inspired by its Dakar-winning ancestor, the 911 Dakar is a masterful combination of go-anywhere performance, robust engineering and unique lifted looks. It rides 50mm higher than a standard 911 and can be elevated a further 30mm thanks to its standard lift system, making it perfect for any off-road adventure.

And should the going get really tough, the car also comes with reinforced underbody protection and steel tow hooks at the front and rear. Powering the 911 Dakar out of any ditch or rut, meanwhile, is a 3.0-litre flat-six that produces 473bhp, which can propel the car to 100km/h from a standstill in just 3.4 seconds.

Truly adventurous customers can also opt to have their car equipped with a roof rack, additional head lights, and off-roading equipment, while a roof tent is also available.

Those who rather travel is what was once the conqueror of the gruelling Transsyberia Rally, meanwhile, can now do so in relative comfort, thanks to the two-chamber, two-valve damper system that comes with the latest facelifted Porsche Cayenne, also featured as part of the exhibition.

And when night falls, this displayed Cayenne also comes with a Porsche Tequipment roof tent that will offer a cosy haven for adventurers.  Equipped with a comfortable high-density polyfoam mattress and breathable cotton blend walls, the SUV/roof tent combination is sure to deliver an unforgettable camping experience, wherever the call of adventure may take you.

The Porsche Studio is also offering a specially curated menu at the Cafe Carrera to support this display. With items such as the Truffle Trek pizza and the Flame-Grilled Steak Sandwich, adventurers are sure to leave with both their senses and stomachs filled. A host of apparel and merchandise options are also available from the Roughroads collection by Porsche Lifestyle.
