For the S500 and CL500, Brabus is offering two states of engine tune for the 4.7-litre twin-turbocharged engine. The first kit includes a new ECU which increases power output from 435bhp and 700Nm of torque, to 482bhp and 780Nm of torque.
The second kit for the S500 and CL500 comes with the ECU upgrade, and a supplementary intercooler, which boosts power up to 520bhp and 820Nm of torque. With this package fitted, along with the Brabus VMax Unit, top speed of the S500 and CL500 is now 300km/h.
For the S 63 AMG and CL 63 AMG meanwhile, Brabus is offering a package that includes an ECU optimization and a water-to-air intercooler powered by an electric auxiliary pump for the cars’ 5.5-litre Bi-turbo V8. With this kit, power is bumped up to 584bhp in standard form, or 620bhp and 1000Nm of torque if the car is fitted with the AMG Performance Package. In top tune, together with the Brabus VMax Unit, the Brabus S 63 AMG and CL 63 AMG models are able to go from 0-100km/h in 4.3 seconds, and reach a top speed of 320km/h.
Other modifications for the S 63 AMG and CL 63 AMG include a sport exhaust system with a flap control that allows the driver to adjust the sound of the exhaust, a limited-slip differential with a locking rate of up to 40 percent, and an aero kit with a front spoiler, rear diffuser and carbon trims. Brabus is also offering a range of alloy wheels from 19 to 21-inches in size.
The upgrades are fitted to Mercedes-Benz models with the carmaker’s new V8 Bi-turbo engines, like the S500, the CL500, the S 63 AMG and the CL 63 AMG. Aside from performance upgrades, Brabus is also offering modifications to improve the cars’ looks and handling.
