Mercedes-Benz to integrate new AI-powered radio platform

Mercedes-Benz has announced that it is partnering with FYI, an AI-powered platform founded by Artist will.i.am.

Launched last year, the FYI RAiDiO platform is described as an interactive, conversational media platform that plans to transform how we listen to radio. The platform is designed to seamlessly integrate third-party radio and broadcast stations while utilising language models, public web content, music licenses, and personalised voice characters, to create an engaging and personalised radio experience.

Mercedes-Benz informs that there are currently 16 interactive ‘stations’ on platform, including themed topics like Pop Culture, Sports, Tech and Music, with more stations rolling out in 2025. Users will also be able to ask their AI host for information on any topic including what is being played and receive real-time responses.

FYI RAiDiO is set to roll out in the U.S.A via a beta programme for customers of vehicles including the E-Class, CLE-Class, C-Class and GLC, as well as the new CLA-Class.
