Mercedes-Benz U.K. launches new electric GLC

The all-new, electric Mercedes-Benz GLC is now available for order in the U.K., with customers given the choice of five distinct specifications: Sport, AMG Line, AMG Line Premium, AMG Line Premium Plus, and Premier Edition.
Initially the new electric GLC is offered exclusively in GLC 400 4MATIC configuration. This high performance, all-wheel drive version is equipped with two powerful electric drive units - one mounted on each axle - which offers up a combined 482bhp output.
The GLC 400 4MATIC allows the electric GLC to hit a century sprint timing of 4.3 seconds and a top speed of 209km/h
It also houses the latest high-voltage 94kWh lithium-ion battery, with the U.K. spec offering a range of up to 653km and DC fast charging at 330kW. In addition, efficiency-enhancing technologies that come as standard to the electric GLC include a multi-source heat pump and a new One-Box braking system.
Inside, the Mercedes-Benz Operating System (MB.OS) integrates and controls every aspect of the electric GLC - from infotainment and automated driving to comfort and charging. It also comes with the MBUX Superscreen as standard, which combines three separate displays under a large glass surface: A 10.3-inch instrument cluster, 14-inch central display and 14-inch passenger display. Sizes may differ across each available specification.
As well as that, the all-new electric GLC offers 520 litres of boot space that can be expanded to 1,690 litres with the rear sears folded down. Its frunk contributes an additional 128 litres of storage space.
