Mitsubishi Outlander gets a facelift and lands in Singapore

Cycle & Carriage Automotive has launched the new Mitsubishi Outlander 2.4L MIVEC, with substantial changes, marking a new era for the brand in design excellence, refinement and overall driver engagement.

Under the skin, it gains improvements to interior NVH (Noise, Vibration, Harshness) for a smoother and quieter ride, while a new eighth generation CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) with six-speed manual mode ensures the best mix of performance and fuel economy.

The new Outlander is the first Mitsubishi production vehicle to showcase the brand's striking new 'Dynamic Shield' design concept, giving the Outlander a fresh, sophisticated on-road presence. This feature is inherited from the bumper side protection seen on generations of the Pajero, providing reassuring protection for both people and car. 

The interior is embellished with soft-touch features and premium grade materials at every contact point. New material headlining, subtle stitching highlights on the instrument panel and a padded centre console enhance the sophisticated feel of the cabin.

There is improved steering response, handling and ride feel that are achieved via a more rigid suspension system, reinforced body and Electronic Power Steering calibrations. The larger diameter rear dampers allow accurate tuning to gain good straight line stability and high-levels of ride comfort. 

The new SUV comes fully equipped with front driver and passenger airbags, side, curtain and knee protection airbags. Its Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution (RISE) body structure is further bolstered with active safety features including Traction Control and Active Stability Control (ASC), ABS with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) and Hill Start Assist.
