Mitsubishi has unveiled its all-new midsized SUV, the Destinator, in Indonesia. It will be showcased and go on sale at the 32nd Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS), which will run from 25 July to 3 August 2025.
The seven-seat midsize SUV's front features include an acrylic grille that adds a touch of innovation and is seamlessly integrated with the left and right bumpers to create a sense of depth. Furthermore, the grille features a layered design with a honeycomb-patterned inner grille beneath a transparent acrylic surface.
At the rear, it blends rugged capability with practicality by showcasing the Hexaguard Horizon concept. The richly contoured tailgate emphasises practicality while giving the vehicle a bold presence. T-shaped LED daytime running lights and rear taillights project a wide profile, while their vertical orientation reinforces the vehicle's solid stability.
Inside, first-row seats offer ample headroom and a snug, supportive design for enhanced comfort. The second row provides ample headroom and shoulder space, while the third row delivers high hip points and spacious knee room. Every seat has ample storage and convenient utilities, while a 12.3-inch Smartphone-link display Audio and an 8.0-inch digital driver display enhance driving comfort. Other features include a panoramic sunroof and 64-colour ambient lighting.
Powering the Destinator is a 1.5-litre turbo engine delivering an output of 161bhp and 250Nm of torque, while five drive modes allow for adaptability across varying road conditions.
The new model, which is manufactured in Indonesia, will also be introduced in other selected ASEAN markets, including Vietnam and the Philippines, as well as in South Asia, Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa.
