Porsche has said that it will be expanding the range of intelligent driver assistance systems and digital functions offered in the all-electric Macan for the 2025 model year.
The main focus has been on innovations that take the user experience for the driver and passengers to a new level. The optional Surround View assistance system including Active Parking Support, for example, has been further developed and is optionally available with new functions such as Trained Parking and Reversing Assist. The parking assistance system will also be expanded to include several functions that offer added convenience, especially in narrow or awkward spaces.
In addition to this is the Porsche Digital Key, which can be used on iPhone, Apple Watch, and compatible Android devices, and the expanded App Centre with new entertainment possibilities. The Porsche Charging Planner has also been enhanced, enabling charging stations and providers to be prioritised or avoided in a more targeted manner.
Other new features for the model year 2025 of the Macan includes the transparent bonnet function, which provides a virtual view of the area in front of the vehicle; trained parking, which can learn individual parking routines and perform them automatically; and reversing assist, which enables the car to automatically reverse along a route it has previously driven.
With this new update, games from providers Gameloft and Obscure Interactive are now offered via the Porsche App Centre and can be controlled via touchscreen or Bluetooth controller. AirConsole brings a wide variety of family games and gaming classics that can be easily controlled via smartphone.
Alongside the new digital and assistance features, Porsche is also expanding the range of individualisation possibilities for the all-electric Macan. These include new personalisation options for the door sill guards and LED door courtesy lights.
Porsche Asia Pacific has said that the updated model will be introduced by the end of the year, with prices to start from $250,688 (excluding COE). The first deliveries of the model year 2025 of the Macan is scheduled for the end of 2025.
