Munro reveals Mountain Rescue Edition of its Mk_1 Pickup

Just months after it first revealed its all-electric Mk_1 Pickup, Scottish manufacturer Munro has now revealed a Mountain Rescue edition of the same truck.
The new rescue vehicle is said to have been developed following consultation and discussions with Scottish, English and Welsh mountain rescue teams and discovery sessions with several reginal Fire Services in the U.K.
The Mountain Rescue edition Mk_1 Pickup comes with roof-mounted blue lights. Where a sizeable rear-bed typically sits also now has been converted into a covered compartment, providing space to carry a stretcher safely alongside three additional passengers and all their equipment.
The Munro Mk_1 Pickup comes with a total output of 375bhp and 700Nm of torque, allowing it to reach 96km/h from a standstill in 4.9 seconds. A 295bhp variant of the pickup is also offered. The pickup also comes with an 82.4kWh battery that can be charged at up to 100kW via a direct current charger, allowing it to climb from a 15% to an 80% state-of-charge in 36 minutes. The pickup has a claimed range of 305km.
