Chery unveils first-ever pickup series at 2025 Auto Shanghai

On the opening day of the 2025 Shanghai Auto Show, Chery did two things: First, the brand unveiled its new global strategy, aiming high with a target of a million vehicle sales within two years. Second, it introduced its first-ever pickup series.

The HIMLA is Chery's all-new pickup truck line, inspired by the Himalayas and designed for all-terrain and multi-scenario use. The series will feature gasoline, diesel, and new energy powertrains, further diversifying Chery's global product portfolio.

Several other Chery Super Hybrid (CSH) vehicles were also showcased alongside the all-new HIMLA pickup truck, such as the TIGGO 7 CSH, TIGGO 8 CSH, and the flagship TIGGO 9 CSH.

Chery also showcased its advancements in AI through exhibits like the AiMOGA robot and robot dog, offering a glimpse into its vision for the future of mobility, with this strategic launch potentially marking a pivotal moment in its quest to compete among the world's top automakers.
