myAudiworld members learn more about their wheels in the third Audi 'Tech Talk'

myAudiworld members were hosted to the third Audi 'Tech Talk' by technical experts from Audi Singapore and Audi Technical Services Centre. The event was held at the new Running Gear Competence Centre, which also happens to be the first one outside of Germany.

At this state-of-the-art facility, $200,000 was invested into specialised equipment, such as a unique 3D machine that uses rectangular laser beams to accurately pin-point any problems with wheel alignment.

Ranging from wheel alignment to wheel balancing, members were introduced to the various running gear and also learnt about how the wheels are kept in the pink of health and tips on how to do it themselves.

One essential advice highlighted by Mr. Adrian Gann, Audi Technical Trainer, was that it is equally important to ensure that the rear wheel alignment of a car is correct, just like the front, or the vehicle will not travel straight. There were also hands-on opportunities for the members to mount tyres and to adjust the 'toe' positioning of a tyre.
