New Tengah bus interchange to open come 21 July 2024

Residents of Tengah will get a new bus interchange come 21 July 2024.

Managed by Tower Transit Singapore, the new interchange is located along Tengah Boulevard, and will feature barrier-free access at entrances and a dedicated priority queue zone with seating at all boarding berths, wheelchair-accessible toilets, a changing room and a baby care room for parents, as well as a commuter care room for those who might require a quiet and calming space.

Bus service 992 will be extended to ply Tengah Garden Walk, Tengah Drive and Tengah Boulevard before terminating at this new bus interchange, while service 870 will also be extended to end here.

A new line, bus service 871, will also be added, connecting Tengah to Bukit Batok West, Bukit Gombak and Beauty World to offering Tengah residents a connection to the North-South MRT Line at Bukit Gombak station and the Downtown MRT Line at Beauty World station. Bus service 871 will connect to primary schools including Dazhong, Lianhua and Keming as well as Hillgrove Secondary School, and will offer access to the neighbourhood centres at Bukit Gombak and Bukit Batok East, and Bukit Gombak Stadium.
