The sixth generation Volkswagen Jetta has been one of the best-selling cars in Singapore since its launch in July 2011, with nearly 2,700 units registered to date. And the German automaker has just announced a new trim - the Jetta Highline.
The Jetta Highline is distinguished by chrome trimmings that run along the window line as well as around the lower radiator grille, plus newly designed alloy wheels.
Standard fitted equipment are Climatronic dual zone air-conditioning, sports front seats and chrome door scuff plates.
Powered by a 1.4-litre TSI engine coupled to a seven-speed DSG automatic gearbox, the 120bhp rated Jetta Highline also leads the way in performance. With 200Nm of torque available from 1,500 to 4,000rpm, the power unit delivers outstanding performance in all driving conditions while achieving class leading fuel consumption of 16.7km/L.
The car is equipped with numerous safety features including six airbags and Electronic Stabilisation Programme (ESP), which contribute to its maximum five-star rating by Euro NCAP.
At press time, prices for the Jetta Highline start from $126,300 (with COE).
