Volkswagen U.K. launches new Black Edition models

Volkswagen U.K. has launched three new Black Edition versions of the ID.4 and ID.5, which will come with additional features compared with the existing Match versions of both models: the ID.4 Match Pro and Match Pro 4MOTION, and the ID.5 Match.

Exterior features include 19-inch Onyx black alloy wheels, a panoramic glass sunroof, and black exterior mirror housings. The models also gain a high-gloss black roof trim and rear pillar, as well black rear nameplates.

Volkswagen describes the new Black Edition versions as set to bring extra style to the electric SUV sector along with interior comfort and value for money

The Black Edition versions also come with Volkswagen's Top-Sport 'Plus' Interior Pack, which includes sport seats in the front with integrated head restraints, power-adjustable lumbar support, and massage function, all wrapped in sumptuous ArtVelours microfleece upholstery.

All three Black Edition versions - the ID.4 Black Edition, ID.4 Black Edition with 4MOTION, and ID.5 Black Edition - are fitted with a 77kWh battery that delivers an output of 282bhp, and their WLTP ranges are 541km, 518km, and 549km respectively.

Volkswagen U.K. has said that these new models will go on sale from 29 May 2025.
